Music is a big part of our life in the parish, and particularly at St Leonard's Church.
St Leonard's has a fine organ built by the firm of Harrison and Harrison. You can find out more about the main organ here. There is also a three-stop chamber organ, acquired in 2019, that is moved around the church as needed. There is also a fine Steinway Model B grand piano, used for concerts, a smaller Bechstein grand, and a mobile Yamaha electric piano (used for choir rehearsals in the Chancel).
We feature choral music in our worship every Sunday apart from holiday times, with one or more of our choirs singing every Sunday at Choral Eucharist and Choral (or Sung) Evensong. To find out more about our choirs, including information about how you or your children can be involved in our choirs, click here.
Though for a long time from March 2020 live choral music was suspended (apart from 12 weeks in the autumn and December 2020, the choirs are again functioning and sing at services on most Sundays.)
