Worship

Our church services are of course affected by the pandemic restrictions.

We are currently meeting online for Morning and Evening Prayer (9 a.m. and 5 p.m.) Everyone is welcome, and here's a quick link to our Zoom meeting. For more information about our church life online, click here.

Details of our current services can be found by going to the Welcome Page and clicking the Weekly Notices.

Information about our on-line services can be found on the Welcome page at the beginning of the site.

St Leonards church closed

The main Sunday service at St Leonard's parish church (pictured here with the Easter cross outside the closed doors) is a formal Eucharist (or Holy Communion) service. Our worship is a mix of formality and friendliness, our clergy and ministers are robed, we hear a sermon every week, and we follow the seasons of the church year in our liturgy and Bible readings.

St Leonards choirSt Leonard's organSt Leonard's has a strong musical tradition, and every Sunday we enjoy music from one or more of our choirs,
 accompanied
by our fine organ, and we enjoy a Choral Evensong in the English "cathedral tradition" every Sunday evening.
