The Bookshop offers a selection of books with a Christian theme along with a selection of other titles. There is a growing range of arts and crafts including cards, knitted goods, and Nettie Wren’s ever popular ginger marmalade - top seller in the shop.

Local craftspeople are encouraged to display their work with a percentage of each sale going towards church funds.

SERVICES AND FACILITIES

A number of charitable and voluntary groups offer their services on a regular weekly or monthly basis with trained staff and volunteers from organisations including The Royal British Legion, the Rotary Club, Dementia Forum, Rainbow Centre, South Kent Mind, and Tynwald.

Display boards and leaflets promote local events and support services, providing visitors with the contact details of a range of local groups.

A Welfare Information Officer from Folkestone and Hythe Council offers monthly information and advice, no appointment is needed.

The Hythe Environmental Community Group operates an Electrical Waste Drop Off Point for small electrical items every Saturday in front of the shop from 10.00am to 4.00pm.

101 has a small meeting room with kitchen facilities, internet access, a printer, and a screen for presentations with seating for up to 20. A newly designed garden area will be open soon.

Church and charity groups, craft sessions, a WI committee, and others use the meeting room for their activities, coffee mornings, crafts and much more.

A trained volunteer is available to take visitors’ blood pressures and show them how to do this themselves.
